The two stacks share infrastructure: clean HTML, fast pages, clear headings. They diverge on what comes next. SEO rewards backlinks and dwell time. AAO rewards extractable facts, schema.org markup, and signals an agent can verify in milliseconds.
The good news: AAO improvements rarely hurt your SEO. Most of what makes a site readable to an agent also makes it more readable to Google's newer ranking signals. Fix for agents, and you generally fix for search.
